This edition edited by Jim Putt is a continuation of previous editions. This edition has been comprehensively revised to incorporate the latest information available for the WA coastline. New sections have been added and the geographical boundaries stretched to include a brief overview of Darwin and Port Lincoln for the sake of completeness. Included is a list of web pages that hopefully will assist in keeping the guide current.

It is the only comprehensive yachting guide covering the Western Australian coast from the Northern Territory to South Australia. The layout and contents of the third edition have been revised to incorporate changes by the Federal and State government departments. Diving, snorkeling and historical notes have been updated. It is hoped that the information contained in this guide will greatly assist those wishing to explore or transit our 6750nm coastline.
